going mid-mod

One of my favorite sites for great mid-century modern pieces is mod livin'. They offer a wide variety of designer pieces that are great for inspiration. If you're like me, you cant necessarily afford the original designer pieces, but you look to them for key elements such as color, lines, and overall impact. A lot of pieces are now recreated or replica-ed from the original mid-century designs at a little more of an affordable price. Buy my favorite place to find pieces has always been craigslist. One man's trash is another man's treasure. And in this case, the man is a redhead from the midwest who loves collecting furniture! Another great place to find replicas, if you can stand all the stuff that's no good and cheap, is ikea. They've started a higher end line that lends itself to those same lines, called the Stockholm collection.
