myles of style

Pop over to www.casasugar.com this morning to read a great interview with last years winner of HGTV's Design Star, Kim Myles. Surprise, surprise, her best idea of a budget friendly makeover is to PAINT. The universal $30 dollar makeover!

Today's craigslist find is a dream for anyone who loves all things mid-century, and at only $65 bucks, its hard NOT to buy it, even if you've go no where to put it!

daily obsession

Today's obsession is the not so new, but still fantastic, Trollsta sideboard from Ikea. At $349 it doesn't break the bank, but leaves a major impact in a room. The dark color and gothic carvings would look just delightful contrasting with a cold concrete floor or a lush shag rug...

bubbles bubbles everywhere

A mid-century classic, the Bubble Lamp was first designed by George Nelson in 1947 and was produced by Howard Miller starting in the early 1950s and ending in 1979.

These beauties are perfect for a small space... no floorspace needed, but they are less than perfect on your pocket book. Priced anywhere from $249-$1800 for a pendant, is it worth the real deal or do you buy a knock off?

Tell me, would you spend big bucks for a great lamp?

you can find George Nelson at many places online including http://ylighting.com/nelson.html

doesn't everyone need a tuffet?

Was little miss muffet on to something?
I think everyone, boy and girl, deserves a space just to themselves. whether its a corner, a desk, a patio... the hard part is, in a small space, how can you set aside space you barely have to spare?

Tell me, do you have a space all to yourself?

Please bear with me as I get this site (slowly) off the ground!
